Italian Castles
Fenis - Turin
Construction began on Fenis Castle in 1242,
but it took nearly 100 years for it to be completed. This
medieval stronghold features many towers, a projecting parapet,
and beautiful , notched merlons along the castle walls.
This castle has a very impressive air about
it-seeming nearly impregnable. It has an unusual, pentagon-shaped
perimeter, and this castle is famous for its displays of medieval
murals and other art.
